It´s your goal to provide all HR services to the Dutch and French operations. As a key member of the European HR team you will give input to global HR projects, implement group practices and procedures on compensation & benefits, training & development, works council, recruitment and organisational changes. Rotterdam will be your office base, but you will need to spend 1 week a month in the French subsidiary in Caen (Normandy). Tasks and responsibilities:
Compensation & Benefits
- Liaison with company insurance providers and employees on benefits-related issues.
- Assist Accounting Manager in enrolling, processing and auditing pension and profit sharing programs.
- Prepare Employee Benefits statements as appropriate.
- Ensure leaves of absences (e.g., short-term, long-term, jury duty, leave without pay) are handled expeditiously and accurately.
- Employers representative for works council meetings and negotiations.
- Conduct salary surveys and analyze data.
- Coordinate the annual merit and bonus programs including performance evaluations, communications, distributing job descriptions, etc.
- Work with managers in reviewing and recommending salary increases as necessary.
- Delegate clerical duties as appropriate.
Training and Development
- Coordinate the group performance management programme in locations of responsibility;
- Undertake training and education to managers and employees;
- Prepare annual training and development plan for site;
- Ensure utilization of group training portal, populating with corporate, technical and management development modules.
Recruiting / Staffing Development:
- Coordinate the recruitment process.
- Provide advice and education to hiring managers.
- Be aware of legislation in country of hire.
- Monitor recruiting and staffing expenses; evaluate costs and track effectiveness.
- Support any group initiatives (recruitment fairs, college relationships etc.)
- Undertake screening interviews and participate in interviews as necessary.
- Coordinate any assessments.
- Prepare contracts of employment.
- Manage New Employee Orientation/Introduction programme.
HRIS:
- Prepare monthly, ad hoc and legally required reports from system.
- Ensure payroll receives relevant information to pay employees timely and correctly.

- A professionally qualified HR professional (a minimum of 5 years experience)
- Full generalist experience, recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, communication.
- Ideally manufacturing background, works council experience is a plus.
- Knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and employment practices within Netherlands and France;
- Demonstrated experience project management and coordination.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills; written oral, and inter-personal.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and employ effective time management skills.
- Ability to work in a team and matrix environment.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent.
- Fluently in Dutch, French and English.
